Bamboo Rustles, Krishnagiri Hills
A nature camp with earthen boutique cottages, just two and a half hours from Bangalore.
Bamboo Rustles, an Introduction
Nestled in the lap of nature near Konganapalli, surrounded by hillocks and scrub forest, Bamboo Rustles is a boutique jungle camp built to connect city dwellers with the wild — hammocking under tamarind trees, nature walks, stargazing, morning bird calls, and evenings around a bonfire under a properly dark sky. It's also home to the Bamboo Pit Viper Research Centre, running wildlife workshops (birding, herpetology, butterflies) and field-biology internships alongside the camp — 30+ internships, 350+ guest visits and 20+ workshops so far, and an ongoing rewilding effort with a native tree nursery.

Bonfire evenings, birding and nature walks on kuchcha trails, a treehouse (currently under renovation), a nearby lake, and genuinely dark, quiet skies — no traffic, no phone buzz.
Getting to Bamboo Rustles
The camp is in Konganapalli, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu. From Hosur, drive 31 km to an Indian Oil petrol pump, turn left toward Vepanapalli, then right toward Konganapalli — the camp is about 100 metres from where the paved road turns to mud, the first building on that road.
