This 10th of October, come pick your food from the wild!

This is at the Tamarind Valley Collective where 50+ members came together and enabled a really ravaged, desertified landscape to be regenerated. It is now habitat for a 100 bird species, 25+ reptile species, gaur, elephants and various other fauna, while it's green and also provides a lot of naturally grown, organic food. Come learn to forage the wild for your food on this very special journey!

This 3-4th October, The Tamarind Valley Collective is repeating the very popular biodiversity weekend! Deepa Mohan, an avid birder and nature educator, from Bangalore, and our own resident naturalist Madhavan will lead guided walks to watch and identify birds, butterflies, insects, and herps around the property.

The last Grasslands Exploration was at The Timbaktu Bush Camp, Kalpavalli over the 15th & 16th of August.

You normally think of wilderness as a forest canopy, but this one is a vaaaast grassland that's 1000s of acres in extent. Protected by a cooperative from across 10 villages, enabled by the Timbaktu Collective, this is truly the story of a magical transformation, of conservation of a grassy wonderland full of life, and hope.

We did the last one on 11-12th July at The Linger Farm, Chettimani.

Vishaal from The Naturalist School led us on multiple walks exploring the amazing, rich biodiversity around. We walked in the rain, we walked at night, we uploaded on iNaturalist - including the first one of a particular mantis from India! We loved it, and learned a lot!
